Script Reading - feedback, reports and script support
All scripts start with a great idea, but from there to the finished product it can be a long and lonely journey, and it’s easy to get lost along the way.
Theatres and production companies don’t want to see unfinished scripts. If you send them the final version, and they decide not to take it on, they’ll send you a polite ‘thanks, but no thanks’ letter, with little or no feedback to help you take your work forward to a next draft. This isn't because they don't care, it's because of the volume of scripts they receive. For writers it can be frustrating to see something they've spent months or even years developing turned down in so few words.
So where can you go for more detailed feedback and support while you’re working on a script, or once you’ve completed it? I offer a comprehensive script reading service, including a twenty to thirty page report for full length scripts and fifteen to twenty page report for one acts and short scripts, covering all aspects of your writing, and costing £3 per page of script.
If you’ve not yet finished the script, but want feedback on what you’ve written, I can provide an interim report also for £3 per page of script, with the option of further reviews at a later date at a reduced rate. Alternatively if you want private tuition, and face to face meetings to help with your script, I offer these for £30 an hour.
Whether you've started writing a script but feel it's not going anywhere, know where it's gone so far, but don't know how to get it to where you want to go next, or have reached the end and just want a second opinion before you send it anywhere, contact me using the form below to say what you're looking for, and I'll get back to you. Whatever you're looking for it won't cost an arm and a leg, and you'll only ever pay for what you receive. If you decide to abandon your script, or decide you don't need help anymore, you'll be under no obligation to pay for something you're not getting.
Meanwhile, while I can't post reports I've completed for other writers on this site, you can read my reviews of theatre productions here.
