Are You Lonesome Tonight?

It's 1977, and as a 20th anniversary  treat,  Dwight Carter decides to  take his wife to all 12 dates of an Elvis tour  - his music brought them together, so what better present  could  there be? The only problems are his wife no longer loves Elvis, and today is August 16th, and the King is about to leave the building for the last  time.

Are You Lonesome Tonight? was performed at Edinburgh, Buxton and Oxford Fringe in 2010, and Brighton and Camden Fringe in 2011. It received its US premiere in home of Elvis, Memphis, Tennessee on 4th September 2015 in a production by Bluff City Tri-Art Theatre Company at The Evergreen Theatre. It was also performed at TheatreWorks, Memphis on 13th and 14th August 2016 to commemorate the 39th anniversary of Elvis' death and in July 2019 as part of the Women's Theatre Festival of Memphis.

In 2024, it had its Australian premiere when it was performed by Wagga Wagga School of Arts Community Theatre.

The script of Are You Lonesome Tonight? is available through Amazon UK and USA in paperback or e-book and is also available through StagePlays.com
